How the Community Can Serve as Protection - Pre-Conference Session

Pre-Conference Training from The Gathering on Mental Health and The Church on October 7th, 2015

Nelba Marquez-Greene, LMFT — Executive Director, The Ana Grace Project

Mass shootings, street crime loss, neglect, poverty, substance abuse, fractured families, and failing schools are all part of the fabric woven into our children’s reality. And this reality often leads to generations of hopelessness and despair. When paired with proper supports, this reality can be altered. We do not have to be a hopeless generation!
This presentation will focus on how communities can respond after tragedy—whether they be public tragedies like Sandy Hook or more private tragedies that happen every day. Learn how there is hope for every child and family by promoting love, community, and connection among us. Come hear about the mission of the Ana Grace Project. We believe we can all be a part of the solution.
